Richard is the founder and driving force behind First4car.com, which he launched over 23 years ago. With a passion for perfection and a ‘can-do’ attitude, he has grown the business from the ground up, guiding it from strength to strength.
Far from being a desk-bound director, Richard is hands-on in every sense. Whether it's lending a hand in the workshop, vacuuming the showroom, or tackling any task that needs doing, he's always ready to pitch in. His dedication is unmatched – some might even call him a workaholic (and they’d probably be right!).
Despite his tireless work ethic, Richard always makes time for what matters most – his family. His energy seems endless, and his commitment to both his team and customers continues to be a key part of what makes First4car special.

They say husband and wife teams make the best partnerships – As Richard’s ‘better half’, Sally plays a vital role in the day-to-day running of First4car.
Wearing many hats, Sally oversees areas such as human resources, accounts, and website content, among many other behind-the-scenes responsibilities that keep the business running smoothly. Her attention to detail and steady hand help ensure everything stays on track.
She also manages the next generation of the First4car family, who can often be found lending a hand – and who are already keen to take the reins in the future!

Our son Lewis has recently joined the business full-time after finishing college. Having grown up around the motor trade, he has a natural interest in all things car-related. He’s currently gaining experience across all areas of the business, steadily taking on more responsibility and proving he shares the family’s strong work ethic.

Our daughter, meanwhile, prefers to get involved with office-based tasks. Despite her young age, she has a keen eye for detail, and picks things up extremely quickly. We’re excited to see what the future holds for both of them.

Luke plays a pivotal role at First4car as our Co-ordinator and Aftersales Manager. He’s the go-to person who ensures everything runs smoothly across the business – keeping the entire team aligned and on track.
Working seamlessly between our workshops, valet team, and admin department, Luke ensures daily operations flow efficiently. He’s also Richard’s trusted right-hand man, playing a key role in the leadership of the company.
Beyond the day-to-day, Luke is dedicated to our customers even after their purchase. He follows up personally to ensure any issues are resolved quickly and with minimal inconvenience, always striving to deliver the high standard of service First4car is known for.

Ben is a dedicated sales associate known for his strong work ethic and down-to-earth personality. A true family man, he’s also the team’s resident joker – always ready with a practical joke to keep spirits high!
Often the first to arrive and the last to leave, Ben goes the extra mile to ensure every customer receives exceptional service and a positive experience. His approachable nature and passion for the motor trade make him a valued member of the team.
Not one to shy away from the spotlight, Ben has even represented First4car on national television – including an interview with Sky News discussing the impact of the Covid pandemic on the industry.

Leah brings a strong background in sales and a lifelong passion for cars to the team here at First4car. A true petrolhead at heart, she decided to take her career into the Motor Trade – and hasn’t looked back since!

Now working alongside her brother, Leah is a valued member of Team First4car. With her warm smile and genuine enthusiasm, she’s committed to providing every customer with a friendly welcome and outstanding service from the moment you walk through the door.

Meet Liv – Administrator

Following in her dad’s footsteps, Liv has found her place in the motor trade and quickly become an essential part of the First4car team. As our Administrator, she keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes – from managing paperwork to helping ensure our vehicle prices stay competitive. With a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic, Liv plays a key role in keeping the business organised and efficient.

Meet Amy – Remote Support
Although Amy works remotely, she’s a valued and fully integrated member of the First4car team. Supporting both Liv and Sally, her list of responsibilities continues to grow as the business evolves. With a family background in the motor trade and a genuine interest in cars, Amy is a natural fit for the role. Her support helps ease the day-to-day pressures in the office, ensuring our operations run smoothly from behind the scenes.

Our expert technicians are the backbone of vehicle safety and reliability at First4car, ensuring every car is thoroughly checked and prepared before it reaches our customers.

Marv, our highly experienced vehicle technician, brings over 30 years of hands-on expertise to the role – that’s a lot of bonnets he’s had his head under! Known for his cheerful attitude and meticulous approach, Marv is a valued and knowledgeable member of the team. Mark, our other senior technician, also brings a wealth of experience to the workshop. Together, Mark and Marv form a true dream team – combining technical skill, efficiency, and a shared commitment to high standards. Joining them is Terry, the newest addition to our workshop team. With fresh energy and a great attitude, Terry is already proving to be a fantastic asset as he settles into his role.

We then have Joe and Lewis, our wheel refurb technicians and junior mechanics. These two are enthusiastic, work really hard and are learning new skills daily.

Together, our technicians ensure every vehicle leaving First4car meets the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance.

Our Vehicle Preparation Team is the driving force behind the pristine condition of every car you see at First4car. Come rain or shine, they work tirelessly to ensure each vehicle not only looks great but also smells fresh and feels ready for the road.

From the moment a vehicle arrives, this dedicated team gets to work – preparing it for sale, photographing it for our website, and adding the all-important finishing touches that make all the difference. Their attention to detail ensures every car leaves us looking its absolute best.
Leading the team is Dave – a true father figure and our longest-serving team member, with over 17 years of dedicated service to First4car. Alongside him, Ben, Josh, Gary, Hayden, McKenzie, and Dave each play a crucial role. Their hard work, commitment, and teamwork are essential to delivering the high standards our customers expect.
